Indications for Encircling Rib Plates:
Encircling rib plates are applicable for internal fixation of flail chest and significantly displaced single or multiple rib fractures. They are particularly suitable for patients with complications such as flail chest, paradoxical respiration, and hemopneumothorax. They can also be customized for rib reconstruction after rib tumor resection and for rib alignment after thoracotomy.
